Seminar on Terrorism |

Sri
Sringeri Sharada Institute of Management a leading management
institute and a unit of Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham, with
sister organsiations, Shankara Vidya Kendra and Shankara Special
School organised a full day National Seminar on " Fighting
Terrorism Through Dharma" on Saturday, 15th March 2003
at Chinmaya Centre Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. |

This
seminar was in series of ongoing efforts to these organisations
to highlight and bring awareness towards social and relevant
problems existing in today's modern society. The seminar brought
together a large memebr of high profile personalities from
political and bureaucratic circles, who have been or are dealing
with this menace in their official capacities. |

The
seminar was inaugurated by Shri R. Venkataraman, former President
of India, Shri T.N. Chaturvedi, Hon'ble Governer of Karnataka
and Shri K.P.S. Gill former DGP of Punjab and Dr. Bhure Lal,
IAS (Retd) also addressed the august gathering . The working
sessions had a large member of distinguished personalities
from Police and security forces sharing their views to combat,
eliminate and prevent this menace which has taken a huge toll
of our country's resources for the past two decades. |

The
conference also had Mrs. Sheila Dixit, Hon'ble Chief Minister
of NCT Delhi, delivering the valedictory address along with
Dr. M.B. Athreya, Chairman SriSIIM Governing Cuoncil and Conference
Advisor, delivering the keynote address and conferecne summary.

seminar is part of SriSIIM's ongoing efforts to address issues
of National importances.Earlier conferences were on the Union
Budget and Combating Corruption. |
