Keeping the tradition, parampara, alive of welcoming the newly joined students of PGDBM 11th batch (2006-08), the 2nd year students of PGDBM 10th batch (2005-07), organised a freshers’ welcome party on 6th August,06.

The get-together was organized at SriSIIM new Campus, which provided the right ambience for such functions.  The day chosen was Sunday, also appropriate being prior to weekly off i.e. Monday.

The gathering was lively, ensuring 100 per cent attendance of both the batches with staff being represented by Sqn. Ldr. A. Yadav, Adm. Offr, Shri Ravi Tiwari, faculty (Fin) and Shri Deepak Yadav, Hostel Warden who also joined all activities to boost the morale of the students.

In continuation of SriSIIM’s Parampara, tradition, of bidding farewell to the passing out batches, a farewell party for students of Batch 9TH (PGDBM 2004 – 2006) was organized on Sunday, 16th April,2006, by the 10th batch 2005-2007. In order to provide an excellent ambience for the occasion and also to keep everybody’s interest alive, the organiser’s selected a new venue a restaurant called “SYLVAN CHEF” at Vasant Kunj. The close location, facilities available and an excellent menu for the dinner, set the right mood.

All the passed out students were keen to enjoy to the fullest, before they join their respective companies, embarking on their future careers.

 

SriSIIM organized an Inaugural function to welcome it’s 11th batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management students on 16thJuly,2006 (Sunday). The function organized at the Institute’s campus in Vasant Vihar was attended by students of 9th and 10th batches of PGDBM courses, along with a large number of alumni and parents of the newly joined students. The gathering was addressed by the Chairman. Governing Council, Dr. M.B. Athreya, an eminent Management Advisor and Dr. Sai Ramachandran, Vice Chairman and a practicing consultant of high repute.
 
Dr. Athreya stressed on age old tradition of Guru Shishya parampara and it’s importance for value based education and leading spiritual way of life. He also encouraged students to learn Sanskrit and how it will help students to access the spiritual wealth given in our scriptures.
 
Dr. Sai Ramachandran, gave the 4D and KSA = P, formula which will be essential for success in life. The four D signify Dedication, Devotion, Determination and Discipline and KSA = P stand for Knowledge x Skill x Attitude = Performance. He stressed on importance of each in one’s life and showed how lack of one will effect the individuals performance.
 
Shri N.R. Ramachandran, Member, Managing Committee also shared his words of wisdom with the students.
 
Shri V.R.Gowrishankar’s message conveying the divine blessings of His Holiness was also read out to the audience.
 
Finally, the Director, Dr. C.V. Ramanan welcomed the students and shared the progress made by the Institute. He highlighted SriSIIM’s standing as a top management institute which focused on giving effective managers and good people to the corporate world, who will contribute in the revival of a resurgent India…
 
Guest Lectures(2006-2007) Top
SriSIIM believes in providing industry exposure to students through guest lectures by professionals on a specific topic or issue related to corporate world. Some fo the senior people invited as guest speakers during 2007-2008 include:
Padamshree Dr. Pritam Singh,Former Director MDI Gurgaon, gave a presentation on "Management". His speech was scintillating and his presence very inspiring.
Dr. D.K. Bandyopadhyay, Director IIFM, Bhopal gave a presentation on "Conflict Management". The lecture was informative and useful.
Prof. R.Ravi Kumar, Dean and Professor, IIM Bangalore addressed our first year students on " Indian Wisdom/ Parrot Training "and our second year student on " H R aspects & how to make Challenge more interesting".
Mrs. Daisy Chauhan addressed the first year student on " Interpersonal Skills".
 
BLOOD DONATION CAMP
SriSIIM in collaboration with the Rotary Club,Punchshila Park,organized a "Blood Donation Camp" on 15th December2002 in the institute's campus .DrC.V.Ramanan led SriSIIM's faculty and the students to actively donate blood during the camp.
 
ALUMNI MEET Top
Sri Sringeri Sharada Institute of Management proudly organized its first Alumni Meet, on 1st December 2002.It was a moment of revival of memories both for the alumni as well as for the faculty of SriSIIM. Dr.M.B.Athreya ,Dr.Sai Ramachandran and Dr.C.V.Ramanan were the dignitaries present at this enthusiastic event.

The function started with the chanting of holy Shlokas by the Sadhana SMT .This was followed by a great performance by the 1st year students to welcome and show respect towards the alumni The Alumni felt elated and fortunate to have been associated with the institution like SriSIIM.

Alumni took great interest in discussing the ways to further improve their contribution to SriSIIM.The function ended with the hope of organizing further interactions with the alumni.
