SriSIIM
organises every year a regular feature called "Shankara
Darshana Management Conference" at various locations
in the country i.e. Ahemadabad, Bangalore, Chennai and New Delhi. It
has covered various topics such as Indian Ethos for Human
Resource Managment, Leadership, Motivation, Productivity,
Organisational Effectiveness.

| The 17th Shankara Darshana Management Conference was
organized on 1st December 2006, at
Sri Sringeri Sharada Institute of Indian Management-Research, New Campus, Delhi.
The
theme of the conference was "Management Lessons
from Srimad Bhagavatam". |

Shankara
Darshana Management Conference is an annual event organized
by SriSIIM every year on National Level, convering varied topics
as Human Resource Management, Leadership, Motivation, Productivity,
Self Management, Organisational Effectivenss, Corporate Governance,
Globalisation and Chatur Yoga for Managerial Effectivenss,
Strategies for Stack holders Ananda, Shaastras for Paryaavaran,
Environment and Shaastras for Daanam, Philanthropy, etc.

| In
the year 2006, the theme for 17th Shankara Darshana Management
Conference was Shaastras on
profound teachings to children,
youth and adults, through simple stories and elevating
philosophical discourses and was held at SriSiim
Auditorium, Delhi on 1st December,2006, with Shankara Vidya Kendra (SVK),
and Sringeri Research
Center (SRC) Delhi as
Co-host. SriSIIM was represented by Dr. M.B. Athreya, Chairman,
GC who was also the conference Leader. |

The conference was
inaugurated by Dr. M.B. Athreya. A large number of luminaries from academic
world attended and participated in the conference and presented
their papers.
The conference was of
interest to Managers/officers engaged in all functions, in
private and public sector organizations, government, academia
and management students. A high value one-day event with a
galaxy of speakers on Shastras and Management. The Conference
explored the major issues relating to management as in our
Shastras and their relevance in today’s personal and societal
world. |

conference was a grand success and was attended by a large number
of scholars, academicians, corporate managers, students and
general public. The staff and students of SriSiim, Delhi displayed
as exemplary zeal & enthusiasm in organizing this conference
well, which was appreciated by all visitors. |
